Job summary

Magna International in Alabama seeks a quality professional to uphold plant safety, audit quality systems, and support customer standards across manufacturing processes.

You will perform audits, inspections, and data reviews to uphold Magna's quality expectations, while collaborating with operations to resolve non-conformances. This role requires travel for training and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies
• Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs
• Understand and promote Magna's philosophies (Magna's Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee's Charter)
• Responsible for keeping boundary parts in secure area to use for comparison on future runs
• Responsible for making decisions on findings to determine if acceptable to Customer or not, support Customer Specific Standards
• Quality System Audits
• Perform Incoming Receiving Audits
• Perform Material Certification Audits
• Perform Line process/part Weld Defect Audits
• Perform Check Fixture Audits
• Review CMM/Dimensional outputs
• Perform DFT testing of a destruct cradle weekly
• Perform Line process/part Coatings Defect Audits
• Perform/Audit Coatings properties of dry film thickness test, crosshatch testing, scratch test, and cure test
• Perform incoming part inspection from media blast to e-coat
• Perform wax verifications weekly
• Perform DOCK-Audits
• Support Operations in making quality calls with product in conjunction with Customer specs
• Responsible to report NC findings immediately to Leadership
• Responsible for roundtable meetings for quality alerts, and containment of non-conforming product.
• Promote good housekeeping
• Perform other duties as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
