Job summary

Roger Wood Foods is seeking a QC Technician to ensure products meet safety and quality standards. You will follow Safety, GMP, SOP, and SSOP procedures, perform daily checks, and document results.

You will monitor the plant for deviations, assist with training, sample analysis, and collaborate with QC staff and auditors. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a cold environment; reliable transportation is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; manufacturing exp preferred in high-volume environment.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents; present information as needed.
• Math skills: fractions, percentages, ratios; basic calculations.
• Reasoning: solve practical problems with limited direction.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Physical: able to lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for long periods.
• Work environment: cold, wet, and <=85 dB.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all Safety, GMP, SOP, and SSOP procedures.
• Perform daily preoperational/operational checks and document reviews.
• Monitor plant for condensation, SOPs, GMPs; inspect equipment.
• Fill out work orders for damages and ensure corrective actions tracked.
• Train in QC positions and assist with sampling.
• Maintain professional attendance and punctuality.
• Work in cold environment averaging 40°F or lower.
• Interact with coworkers and auditors professionally.
• Other duties as assigned; require reliable transportation.
