Job summary

6AM City, LLC seeks a Lead Quality Inspector - CMM Programmer to join a Milwaukee area manufacturer. Direct hire with pay band $30-35/hour. You will supervise and train Quality Technicians and apprentices while programing CMMs and portable arms to exact specifications.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires experience in ISO 9001-2008/13485 compliance, first-piece and in-process inspections, and accurate record-keeping. First shift, Monday–Friday with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School education or GED.
• 7+ years related quality and inspection experience.
• 5+ years CMM programming experience.
• Blueprint knowledge including GD&T.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality and inspection plans from design drawings per Company requirements for ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 13485.
• Supervise and train Quality Technicians, Metrology Apprentices, and Quality Inspectors.
• Program and operate CMM to specifications.
• Program and operate portable arm to specifications.
• Perform inspections on first piece, in-process, purchased part, and finished materials and products.
• Complete required records and paperwork including inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Lead Quality Inspector - CMM Programmer to join a local manufacturer in Milwaukee for a direct hire.

Pay: $30-35/HR

Description

We are looking for a experienced candidate with skills in finished/in-process part inspection and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating. The qualified candidate would report directly the the Quality Manager and be responsible for the supervision and training of Quality Technicians, Metrology Apprentices, and Quality Inspectors.

This is a first shift position with in office hours from Monday - Friday with possible overtime based on Company needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Aid in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting Company requirements for ISO 9001-2008, ISO 13485.
• Supervise and train quality department staff.
• Program and operate CMM to specifications.
• Program and operate portable arm to specifications.
• Perform inspections on first piece, in process, purchased part, and finished material and products.
• Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Necessary:

• High School education or GED.
• 7+ years related quality and inspection experience.
• 5+ years CMM programming experience.
• Blueprint knowledge including GD&T.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reverse engineering and Solid Modeling experience
• Zeiss CMM, FARO Arm and/or Micro Vu experience is a plus.
• Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace, and medical industries.
• Prior machining or CNC operation is a plus.
