Job summary

WESTFALIA Metal Hoses is seeking a Quality Technician – CMM Programmer to join our Quality team in Bristol, Connecticut. You will program and operate metrology systems, inspect parts, and ensure alignment with customer specifications and IATF16949 standards.

The role requires a strong GD&T background, PolyWorks proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support audits, PPAPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with CMM or portable measuring arm systems.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with PolyWorks or similar metrology software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in ISO9001 / IATF16949 environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Hexagon Absolute Arm 85 using PolyWorks software.
• Perform dimensional inspections using probe and scan methods.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and engineering drawings.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Maintain calibration and traceability of inspection equipment.
• Support Product Audits, Dock Audits, and IATF16949 audits.
• Assist with customer complaints, warranty investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Support PPAP submissions, dimensional reports, and FAI documentation.
• Develop visual quality standards and maintain KPI reporting.

Role Description

• In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet customer specifications, internal standards, and IATF 16949 requirements through advanced inspection and metrology processes.
