Quality Technician (Aerospace)

Entry level Technician working under the direction of Quality Engineering to implement quality planning for manufactured and purchased products.

Functions and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Receiving Inspections and recommending modifications to instructions.
  • Generate Non-Conformances at receiving inspect
  • Liaison between Inspection and Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Read and understand drawings, including basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Schedule, conduct, and manage Pyrometry on all equipment in facility, and division as needed.
  • Work effectively using software including TipQA, Adobe Suite, MS Office, Infor XA, and C3 Data.
  • Task oriented.
  • Possess proactive, positive attitude and represent Quality Assurance as a resource to the department and company.
  • Recognize, analyze, correct and document all changes during testing and use of process instrumentation.
  • Maintain proper operation of process instruments and equipment during testing.
  • Recommend changes to procedures and customer specifications.
  • Assist with maintenance and service of helium leak detector.
  • Interpret, create and follow written instructions, schematics, procedures and documents.
  • Manages and completes tooling calibrations for hand tools, and other precision measuring devices
Skills and Experience
  • Must have a safety-first mindset
  • Requires familiarity with pyrometry-related customer specifications and company requirements to ensure timely compliance.
  • Knows when to stop and ask for clarification.
  • Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements

Performs physical activities that may require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $21.2/hr to $27.35/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
