Job summary

Impact CNC in Columbia City, IN is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect parts and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System. The role focuses on daily inspections, changeover approvals, and preventing non-conformances.

You will work with gauges and CMMs, perform process audits, and help create work instructions. A year of manufacturing experience and basic measurement tools knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and snap gauges.
• General understanding of gage calibration, usage, verification, and cleaning.
• General knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and complete daily quality inspections
• Issue approvals for changeovers when product conformance is verified.
• Review non-conforming material regularly and dispositioning material by supplier.
• Ensure final quality audits for outgoing products are completed in accordance with product specifications.
• Conduct layered process audits as directed.
• Creating and updating process work instructions to inspect products.
• Cleaning, calibrating, and loading parts on the CMMs to ensure daily quality inspections take place.
• Issuing training opportunities as applicable to manufacturing members to resolve performance issues.
• Ensuring that gauges are clean and calibrated for use for manufacturing associates.
• Ensuring that process data, paperwork and records are maintained and updated.

Job Location: Plant 3 - COLUMBIA CITY, IN, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Overview:A Quality Technician’s core role is to inspect parts through defined intervals assuring product quality in accordance with the Quality Management System for Impact CNC.

Job Duties
