Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division seeks a Quality Technician for the 2nd shift at the Klockner Dr site in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on inspecting products to meet quality standards, recording results, and quarantining non-conforming parts.

You will perform audits, generate quality alerts, investigate issues, and support pre-production planning and training for production personnel. Hourly rate is $22.71 plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or related field preferred.
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in power industry.
• Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience.
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts/products and document results; quarantine non-conforming parts.
• Determine root cause of non-conforming parts and verify FAI on production lines.
• Perform internal audits and quality alerts; notify operators of issues.
• Investigate non-conforming product using problem-solving techniques.
• Support quality planning, product/process reviews, and training of personnel.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with machine capability studies and calibration systems compliance.
