Job description

Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Technician who will work as part of the quality team to deliver quality improvement projects and change initiatives. Once part of the team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the quality department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.

Current open shifts:

1st Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities Include:

1. Supporting subassembly & final assembly operations, testing subassemblies, and final assemblies, and assisting the Quality Department as needed.
2. Recognizing and identifying different electronic components, with experience in using common electronic tools.
3. Performing final inspections and preparing quality inspection reports.
4. Verifying repaired units adhere to standards of appearance, functionality, and quality.
5. Reading prints and interpreting codes or alphanumeric information on wires and components.
6. Inspecting refurbished products prior to shipment to ensure conformance with quality and appearance standards.
7. Providing feedback to supervisors on observed trends or failure conditions.
8. Assisting Quality Engineers with measurement analysis of Production Launch runs and other duties.
9. Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and operational.
10. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements and Ideal Experience:

1. Experience troubleshooting and repairing servers, including removal and replacement of hard drives, memory, motherboards, etc.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Experience as an Inspector or quality technician.
4. High-level visual awareness and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Willingness to learn new applications and programs.
7. Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
8. Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate technical information effectively.
9. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
