Job summary

Manay CPA, Inc. seeks a qualified Quality Technician to join our Redmond, WA facility. You will perform precision inspections to ensure high-quality manufacturing and international compliance, using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.

The role requires interpreting GD&T and drawings, documenting results, and supporting FAI and iterative inspections. Training for CMM programming is available to grow within a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Quality/QC in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient interpreting drawings, specs, and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with precision metrology tools is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication across production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems, inspection docs, and basic root cause analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and GD&T to verify conformance.
• Document inspection results and quality records per procedures and standards.
• Assist with FAI, in-process, and final inspections as needed.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding quality documentation and results.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and ensure proper use.
• Assist with CMM operations and develop programming skills over time.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician with hands‑on technical capabilities to join our team at the Redmond facility. In this role, you will ensure our precision manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and international compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured components using precision manual measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other standard metrology tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T to verify product conformance.
• Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and quality records in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Assist with first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections as required.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues, clarify inspection requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with customers as needed regarding quality documentation, inspection results, and quality-related inquiries, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
• Support investigations of nonconforming products by documenting findings and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure measuring tools are calibrated and used in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations and develop CMM programming skills over time. Prior experience is a plus but not required.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Quality, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T.
• Hands‑on experience using precision manual inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other standard metrology equipment, is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems, inspection documentation, and basic root cause analysis is preferred.
• Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), or hands‑on experience with precision measurement equipment and a willingness to learn CMM operation and programming, is preferred.
• Experience in the aerospace, defense, satellite, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Experience using ERP/MRP systems, quality management software, and Microsoft Office to maintain inspection records and quality documentation is preferred.
