Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our Operations Team. You will audit and monitor quality requirements to ensure that our standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities include First Article, PPAP, in-process and final inspections, plus measuring with CMM and Virtek laser equipment. The role requires reading specifications, collaborating with engineers, and maintaining strict attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years in a quality-related position preferred.
• Proficient with ASME GD&T.
• Able to accurately use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• MS Office experience.
• Good communication skills and detail-oriented.

• Conduct inspections at First Article, PPAP, in-process, in-coming and final inspections.
• Measure product conformance utilizing CMM (Creaform/Polyworks) and Virtek Laser Inspection machine.
• Create and edit CMM programs using Polyworks.
• Perform PPAP and First Article inspections to support the component qualification process.
• Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
• Communicate with project engineers to ensure schematics follow the final product.
• All other duties as assigned or changes may occur.

• Conduct inspections at First Article, PPAP, in-process, in-coming and completes the final inspections
