Job description

Overview

Quality Technician

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Technician helps ensure site-specific quality compliance according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specifications. Responsibilities include quality review of batch records and other documents, label control, and assisting with release activities and product inspections on the production lines. The on-the-floor quality team ensures process and documentation records are compliant with patient safety in mind. Attention to detail is essential.

Shift available

We are currently seeking 2 Quality Technicians, one D-shift and one E-shift.

  • D-Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00am – 11:00pm, 20% shift differential
  • E-Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00pm – 11:00am, 25% shift differential
Essential functions / responsibilities
  • Work with production operators to complete inspections on the lines and review batch records.
  • Verify that appropriate cleanings and line clearances have been performed.
  • Verify differential pressures are within limits; perform real-time quality checks during production runs.
  • Assist with investigations when deviations occur and support routine media fills on the BFS lines.
  • Complete routine inspections of production areas and participate in the internal audit team.
Qualifications / Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in an FDA-regulated pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.
Physical requirements / Environment

Standing 40% of the time. Walking 40% of the time. Sitting 20% of the time. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Must work safely with materials and chemicals; may work in a setting with moderate noise. Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required, and follow cGMP apparel requirements. Visual acuity for label and component inspection and detailed document review. Ability to communicate in handwriting, by telephone, and via keyboard.

Scope of decision making

Decisions require basic/routine analytical judgment. Plan and perform diversified duties requiring knowledge of a field and standard procedures. Exercise judgment in analyzing facts or conditions to determine actions within guidelines.

Level of supervision provided

Individual contributor; not responsible for supervising others.

Internal / External contacts

Regular inside and outside contacts to carry out policy and programs. Interacting with colleagues at various levels; proper handling influences operating results.

Compensation

25.00 – 32.00 USD per hour.

The referenced compensation range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual salaries will be set within the range based on factors including market data, education, experience, and internal equity.
