Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking a Quality Technician II in Idaho to assure customer and company quality across manufacturing and inspection steps. You will identify continuous quality improvements and support processes to meet requirements.

The role requires an Associate degree with 2+ years of related experience, strong data skills, and the ability to lead a team of inspectors while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This full-time position includes shift work with differential pay.

• Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred; equivalent combination will be considered.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn and operate in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective functional support of Quality and Supplier Quality processes to meet requirements.
• Support Customer Returned Goods functions and non-conforming material.
• Adapt to changes in work plan and priorities; support improvement initiatives (e.g., 6S).
• Lead development and direction of Quality Inspectors.
• Lead quality plan implementation through data collection and analysis.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$45,300.00 - $67,900.00

We are hiring across multiple shifts:

B Work Shift:

This shift helps cover operations on our B Shift which works every other Saturday night from 6pm-6am and every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night from 6pm-6am.

The shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

D Work Shift -This shift helps cover operations on our D Shift which works Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night from 6pm-6am. And every other Saturday night from 6pm-6am

The shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Purpose Statement:

The Quality Technician II is responsible for assuring all customer and company quality expectations are being satisfied through all manufacturing and inspection process steps. Identify and implement continuous quality improvement activities.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Provide effective functional support of assigned Quality and Supplier Quality processes, goods and services, to meet functional department and customers' requirements.
• Support Customer Returned Goods functions and non conforming material
• Adapts to changes (work plan, priority and management decision) in the work environment, Supports improvement initiatives and participates actively to improve work environment (example 6S), Looks for opportunities to improve work productivity and efficiency
• Lead development and direction of Quality Inspectors.
• Lead quality plan implementation through data compilation and analysis.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

• Role will support operational teams in a manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment. Facilities include comfortable temperatures, repetitive low noise level and suitable lighting for required tasks. May require walking, standing and sitting, using a computer, and other office equipment. Direct interaction with people and equipment is event driven and will include activities related to inspecting, qualifying, troubleshooting and improving jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods using different types of components or material. Role may require working individually on tasks with a prolonged focus on written material, working collectively as part of a team of various disciplines and backgrounds and working in multiple software systems.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 40%
