### **Open position: Quality Technician****Job Summary**The Quality Control Technician supports production, quality, and continuous improvement activities through inspections, problem solving, measuring techniques and collecting and reporting data.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Performs receiving, first article, in process, and final quality inspection of product.* Monitors processes during the manufacturing cycle to ensure production standards are met.* Documents non-conforming products and executes quality protocol.* Provides quality support to production operations with problem solving, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, promotion and initiation of continuous improvement ideas, and identifying non-compliant products and materials.* Reads and interprets prints or other applicable documents to determine product quality.* Performs dimensional inspections using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gage, and CMM.* Works with production team to improve and document processes. This may include creating new, or modifying existing work instructions, developing checklists and others as needed.* Prepares, cleans, and maintains a safe workstation/environment by complying with procedures, rules/regulations, and safety guidelines.* Adheres to and supports 5S 1.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Qualifications/Skills:*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* Previous quality experience preferred.* Eager to learn and contribute to team driven continuous improvement objectives.* Ability to effectively use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometer and CMM.* Ability to interpret blueprints.* Proficiency in general math.* High attention to detail and good organizational skills.* Excellent problem-solving skills.* Mechanical aptitude.* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; for safety, performance and productivity must be able to read, write, and speak English.* Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).**Physical Requirements and Work Environment:*** Must be able to stand and walk on concrete for the majority of an eight-hour shift, or longer if working overtime.* Must be able to sustain long periods of light to moderate physical activity.* Must be able to consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* Must be able to lift, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, turn, push/pull, grip/grasp, climb, crouch, and crawl for minimal to moderate periods of time.* Must have visual acuity and correct color perception; requires the ability to see and hear.* Must be able to talk and hear; must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.* Will be continuously exposed to fluctuating seasonal temperatures in non-climate-controlled work areas.* May be exposed to fumes, mechanical parts and airborne particles.* May be exposed to moderately loud noise levels; hearing protection may be required in designated areas.* Steel/composite toe safety footwear required; safety glasses with side-shields required and PPE must meet specific safety standards.**Qualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to hr@yetterco.com or apply online.**| | | || --- | --- | --- || APPLY ONLINE | APPLY BY EMAIL | DOWNLOAD PDF APPLICATION |**If applying my mail, send application materials to:****Yetter Manufacturing****Attn: Human Resources****PO BOX 358****Colchester, IL 62326**
