Job summary

Zoox in Hayward, CA seeks a seasoned quality technician to perform in-line quality inspections at General Assembly and End of Line. You will read CAD drawings, communicate with cross-functional teams, and validate reworks to uphold Zoox's quality standards.

With 7+ years in automotive manufacturing and a strong background in mechanical/electrical systems, you will identify trends, update documentation, and contribute to containment actions and training plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a quality technician.
• 7+ years of technician experience in high volume automotive manufacturing.
• Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with triage, root cause analysis and implementing containments.
• Ability to read PFMEA, Control Plans and inspection documents.
• Experience interpreting metrology reports.
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles.
• Ability to look up and read technical specifications in CAD.
• Read technical drawings in CAD.

Job description

In this role, you will primarily perform Manufacturing quality inspections as part of the Manufacturing Engineering team and work cross-functionally with Vehicle Engineering, Corporate Quality, and Supplier Quality within Zoox. You will use your technical background and various quality gages & tools to perform quality inspections on a vehicle level in General Assembly and End of Line. You will record any non conformities identified and may further support triage and root cause analysis of these concerns and communicate critical information to quality, process engineering, operations and Repair teams.
