Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Quality Technician to test and inspect incoming vendor material, customer-supplied material, final and in-process products in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will inspect visually and mechanically, apply GD&T, and use a CMM for non-contact measurements while testing with various equipment. Emphasis on AS9102 and IPC 610 standards with precise documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of prior manufacturing experience with a focus on quality.
• Experience maintaining QC logs and records.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings for machined housings and feedthroughs.
• Strong attention to details and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to navigate the shop floor during daily operations.
• Experience with magnifying lenses, tweezers, microscopes, drop indicators, and verniers.
• Familiar with AS9102, IPC 610 / J Std / Mil 883 quality standards.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, or C.
• Applicable certifications (ISO/Six Sigma).
• Experience in ITAR environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect material visually and mechanically per engineering prints at receiving, in-process and final stages.
• Perform GD&T measurements related to part features.
• Operate a CMM for non-contact measurement.
• Test parts with leak tester, hipot, capacitance meter, solder pot, and other equipment.
• Maintain QC logs and records; ensure documentation is complete.
• Provide calibration support and internal calibrations.
• Ensure shipments include proper documentation.
• Assist with corrective actions and quality issues as part of the team.

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Quality Technician to test and inspect incoming vendor material, customer supplied material, final and in process products and components at inspection points in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Inspect material visually and mechanically using hand tools, gauges, and optical equipment to the engineering print at receiving, in-process and final inspection.
• Conduct Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) related to measuring parts and the position of features.
• Utilize a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) for non-contact measurement.
• Test parts on fine leak tester, hipot, capacitance meter, solder pot, and other test equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Familiar with AS9102, the aerospace first article requirements and reporting.
• Familiar with IPC 610 / J Std / Mil 883 industry standards for testing and inspection.
• Ensure all inspection documentation is completed correctly.
• Maintains QC logs and records.
• Perform internal calibrations and provides calibration support as needed.
• Verifies that the proper documentation accompanies the shipment of product.
• Package product per the customer’s requirements.
• Perform corrective action on rejected material.
• Perform returned material authorizations (RMA).
• Assist with corrective action or feedback on quality issues, as a Quality team member.
• Provide quality system support as needed.
• Provide special project support as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
