Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a Quality Technician with a focus on Chemistry to maintain process chemistry and support production operations. You will perform laboratory testing, interpret results, and adjust processes to ensure consistent product quality.

The role requires attention to detail, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. 1st shift hours apply, with standard pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining process chemistry in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform laboratory chemical testing and interpret results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and production-related software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain process chemistry in accordance with control plans and operating requirements.
• Perform and document laboratory chemical testing and interpret results to ensure process stability.
• Execute chemical additions and process adjustments to maintain tank performance and product quality.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, chemical storage areas, and workspaces in a clean, audit-ready condition.
• Review customer specifications, quality standards, and finishing requirements to ensure accurate processing.
• Develop, select, and enter processing programs and work instructions within D365.
• Partner with production teams to troubleshoot process and quality concerns.
• Assist with evaluation, testing, and disposition of nonconforming and rework material.
• Support investigation and resolution of customer quality concerns, including corrective action activities.
• Participate in customer meetings, conference calls, and plant visits as needed.
• Review and certify product documentation to ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process performance, and operational excellence.

The Quality Technician will report to 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm). The hourly rate of pay will be dependent on experience but ranging from $22.00 to $26.00.
