$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr
12 hour shift, 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM-5:30 AM; Sunday-Thursday.
1st Shift role: 5AM-5:30PM; Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on raw and processed cottonseed to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Conduct plant monitoring tests including truck sampling, sample de-linting, acid percentage, dryer and buffer temperature checks, bushel weight, pH, seed count, and tare analysis.
- Inspect packaged finished products to verify labeling, bag integrity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Calibrate and maintain testing and weighing equipment such as scales, temperature probes, pH meters, and seed counters.
- Record and maintain accurate data in the Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet and report any deviations or quality issues to the Quality Control Lead.
- Assist with variety cleanouts and ensure equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized per SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and safety guidelines while working near industrial equipment (e.g., delinter, dryers, conveyors, baggers).
- Utilize laboratory tools and materials such as beakers, distilled water, buffers, and bushel weight apparatus for testing and analysis.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all PPE and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with plant and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and consistent quality output.
