Job summary

Polyplex USA, LLC is seeking a Quality & Technical Services Supervisor to oversee plant quality control and provide technical support across manufacturing operations.

You will drive compliance with standards, lead CAPA initiatives, and collaborate with engineering, R&D, and customers to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7+ years of experience in quality, technical services, or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Experience working in manufacturing (film, polymer, plastics, or related industries preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily quality control and assurance activities in the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement CAPA.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D on product development and trials.
  • Support customer audits, complaints, and qualification processes.
  • Mentor quality technicians and lab personnel; train on standards and testing.
  • Drive waste reduction, yield improvement, and product consistency.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma and other operational excellence programs.

Job description

The Quality & Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes and providing technical support across manufacturing operations. This role ensures product quality, supports customer requirements, and drives continuous improvement initiatives while acting as a key liaison between production, engineering, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Oversight & Compliance
  • Supervise daily quality control and assurance activities within the plant
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Review and approve inspection results, test data, and quality documentation
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Technical Services Support
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve product and process issues
  • Partner with engineering and R&D on product development, trials, and process improvements
  • Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing defects and optimizing product performance
Customer & Cross-Functional Support
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for customers regarding product quality and performance
  • Support customer audits, complaints, and product qualification processes
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams on technical inquiries and solutions
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise and mentor quality technicians and lab personnel
  • Provide training on quality standards, testing procedures, and best practices
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Analyze quality metrics and identify trends for process improvements
  • Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve yield, and enhance product consistency
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence programs
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–7+ years of experience in quality, technical services, or manufacturing environment
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Experience working in manufacturing (film, polymer, plastics, or related industries preferred)
Preferred:
  • Experience with film extrusion, coatings, or converting processes
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality audits
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
