Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in quality in a manufacturing setting
• High School Diploma; additional qualifications a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail to identify defects and inconsistencies
• Technical knowledge of production processes, materials and quality standards
• Analytical skills to interpret data from testing processes
• Mathematical skills for precise measurement and calculations
• Problem-solving to find root causes and suggested solutions
• Communication to relay quality issues to teams and management

Responsibilities

• Inspect outputs using standard methods and compare to standards
• Ensure assembly/production lines meet standards and procedures
• Read blueprints, data, manuals to determine specs and inspection methods
• Record results and input data into quality databases
• Train production team on quality control measures
• Propose improvements to production processes
• Measure products with gauges and assist calibration
• Collect and analyze statistical quality data
• Develop test methods and inspection plans
• Identify causes of defects and reworks and recommend actions
• Discard items not meeting specs
• Discuss results with responsible teams and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain document control
