Job summary

Textron Aviation in Kansas is seeking a Quality Tech-Flt Line for 2nd shift. The role develops processes to create a quality-conscious environment and reduce defects, working under supervision.

The position requires reading blueprints, verifying specifications, and performing flight release inspections to ensure airworthiness. Minimum 1–3 years' relevant experience and strong communication with FAA and customers are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and the use of drawings, specifications, basic math and technical knowledge.
  • Requires 1–3 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to interpret and conform new model engineering change with feedback to Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Works from blueprints, interprets engineering requirements and Configuration verifications.
  • Knowledgeable of specification, Quality procedures and F/T requirements appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Inspects parts and ensures acceptable appearance, function, tolerances, dimensions and specifications.
  • Completes and maintains a variety of inspection paperwork.
  • Able to interpret and conform new model engineering change with feedback to Engineering.
  • Understands and able to work MRB process.
  • Proficient in business applications as required for the area of work assigned.
  • Communicates with the FAA or other external auditors and customers.
  • Possess certification/qualifications appropriate to assigned area.
  • Communicates effectively and works well with others.
  • Ability to perform flight release inspections deeming aircraft are safe for flight.
  • Ability to interface with customer or customer representatives as needed on technical topics.
  • Ability to operate in a safety sensitive repair station environment.

JOB SUMMARY

EXPERIENCE
  • Requires 1-3 years relevant experience. Possesses a solid grasp of the technical skills necessary to perform the job and be willing to work in all areas of support.
