Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, West Chester MRO Division, is seeking a Quality Tech to inspect instruments and parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will supervise employees performing routine checks, tests, gauging, and inspections of materials and in-process parts.

You will coordinate First Article Inspections, collect data for non-conformances, support SPC, PFMEA and Control Plans, and help develop tools to improve productivity while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of Gage R&R, SPC, PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Able to interface with multiple levels of the organization.
• Good internal/external communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate First Article Inspections with Quality Engineer, Manufacturing and Inspection personnel.
• Coordinate inspection data and corrective actions for non-conformance submittals to customers.
• Coordinate Gage R&R studies in support of new product introduction and current process improvements.
• Assist Quality Engineers with the establishment and continued analysis of SPC.
• Coordinate and complete product audits as required by customers.
• Support Quality Engineers in development of inspection plans, PFMEA's and Control Plans.
• Support Quality Organization in the development of standardized tools and procedures to improve productivity.
• Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This individual's main focus will be to inspect instruments and parts in the manufacturing process. The selected individual will also be responsible for supervising employees performing routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, as well as parts in process.
