Job summary

Xecutive Recruitment Inc. is seeking a Shift Quality Lead to guide the quality team in our automotive manufacturing plant in Ohio. You will shepherd incoming, in-process, and final product inspections, drive containment, and manage audits to ensure shipments meet customer specs.

Responsibilities include running 8Ds, addressing customer portals, and maintaining PFMEA/PPAP with production. Leadership of technicians without a degree is acceptable; a CQT is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automotive quality in an automotive plant.
• IATF 16949 on the floor — not just a certificate on the wall.
• 8D / 5-Why / customer portal work.
• Ability to lead people without a degree required; CQT a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality technicians / inspectors on incoming, in-process, and final product.
• Own daily containment, layered process audits, and first-hour / last-hour checks.
• Run and close 8Ds and customer complaints.
• Keep IATF 16949, control plans, PFMEA, and PPAP current with production.
• Stop the line when product is at risk; restart only with a documented disposition.
• Train operators on defect standards and reaction plans.
• Report scrap, PPM, and audit misses to the Quality Manager.
