Job summary

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support QA and regulatory compliance across our clinical laboratory operations. This role blends a clinical laboratory background with quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required.
Minimum of three years in a CLIA-regulated clinical lab environment.
Eligible for a CLIA non-testing personnel role (Technical Consultant/Supervisor).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to use AI and automation tools.

Responsibilities

Administer proficiency testing programs across regulated analytes and specialties.
Design and implement automation to reduce manual effort while ensuring compliance.
Review PT and QC data, identify trends, and track CAPA to completion.
Conduct internal audits against regulatory requirements.
Support inspections by CMS, CAP, and state agencies.
Investigate occurrences and implement corrective actions.
Maintain quality system documentation and indicators.
Track and report quality metrics to leadership.
Stay current on CLIA, CAP, FDA, OSHA, HIPAA requirements.
