Job summary

Shawmut Corporation seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to solidify quality systems and metrics across manufacturing. You will collaborate with internal partners, identify gaps, and drive improvements with suppliers and customers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include leading ISO 9001 audits, guiding production and inspection staff, and ensuring nonconforming materials are handled cost-effectively. A Bachelor's in business or engineering and 3+ years in quality management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing operation.
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 and knowledge of ISO 13485.
• Certified Auditor or willingness to become a Certified Auditor.
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to understand MRP systems.
• Ability to maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skill to provide guidance on quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Plant Manufacturing and Inspection personnel to ensure quality systems integrity.
• Audit quality procedures and support inspection and testing of materials.
• Lead ISO9001 yearly audits.
• Lead problem-solving activities for internal/external concerns.
• Address customer requests for regulatory compliance information.
• Oversee on-site laboratory operations and staff appraisals.
