Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Lead Quality Technician for 1st shift in a manufacturing/food safety environment in Milwaukee. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory, certification, and customer quality standards are met through hands-on quality control and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in quality within food or feed manufacturing, PCQI certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in quality or a science-related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of quality experience, preferably in food or feed manufacturing.
• FSSC 22000 or FAMI QS experience preferred.
• PCQI Certification—must obtain within 6 months if not possessed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide back-up support for the Quality Systems Manager.
• Participate in internal and external audits; ensure the facility is audit-ready.
• Prepare and maintain document control; conduct inspections and complete PCQI sign-off.
• Perform calibration verification activities as needed.
• Manage sections of the FSMS system.
• Perform Quality Control functions; assess incoming materials.
• Provide Finished Product Quality Approval.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, certifications, and regulatory guidelines.
• Follow food and feed safety instructions including FDA, Hygiene and GMPs, and certifications like FSSC 22000 and FAMI‑QS.
• Assist with light housekeeping as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.
