Job summary

Ring Container Technologies in Tennessee is seeking a Quality Systems Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the plant's quality and food safety management systems in accordance with product specifications, regulations, and the plant's chosen third-party food safety standards (SQF or BRC).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality or food safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SPC, SQC, metrology, problem solving, internal auditing, HACCP, GMP, and food safety audit certification (AIB, BRC, or SQF).
• A four-year college degree; experience in food packaging or food processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a controlled QMS with detailed policies and procedures to support quality policy and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate annual QMS reviews to reflect current practices and identify issues and trends.
• Lead a quality and food safety committee and train staff in QMS policies.
• Develop and implement food safety, defense, and quality systems to meet SQF or BRC standards.
• Serve as Food Defense and HACCP Coordinator and manage the HACCP plan.
• Maintain material traceability, perform semi-annual mock recalls, and review related documentation.
• Audit quality system documentation and the facility to ensure compliance; oversee corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration programs, instrument accuracy, and Gage R&R studies.
• Document customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions; support CBIT meetings and supplier quality improvements.
