Descripción del empleo

Step into a day where quality sets the pace Morning begins by reviewing new project kickoffs with Engineering and Sales. You align inspection requirements with customer expectations, translate them into Master Control Plans (MCP), and make sure every drawing and specification is captured under document control. Before lunch, you confirm gauges and tools are within calibration, verify First Article Inspection (FAI) packages and Customer Approval Forms are complete, and ensure inspection documents are live and accurate in IQMS. Afternoon finds you reconciling MRB parts in IQMS, supporting production reporting from shifts 1–3, and closing the loop on NCR/CRs with data-driven root cause and corrective actions. You finish with a walk-through of the quality lab, checking safety and 5S, then prep for an ISO system audit review.

What you'll own
  • Maintain and continuously improve a robust QMS aligned to industry standards to optimize quality control processes.
  • Review new projects; partner with customers and the engineering team to define part-specific inspection requirements and embed them into MCPs.
  • Serve as the liaison between Quality and Engineering; participate in Sales and Engineering Review Meetings; ensure MCPs remain current.
  • Oversee document control for customer-supplied drawings and ensure the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process keeps all documents at the latest revision.
  • Lead the calibration system; manage and control all gauges, tools, and measurement devices—and be hands-on proficient with each.
  • Complete First Article Reports and Customer Approval Forms; maintain inventory of FAI parts, production samples, and customer samples.
  • Set up and maintain inspection documents in IQMS; reconcile MRB parts; support entry of production reporting from shifts 1–3.
  • Interpret and review BOM requirements; complete and maintain customer-required Certificates of Compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership for NCR and CR actions, driving metrics, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for internal issues and customer complaints.
  • Develop and track quality assurance metrics to enable performance improvement across all teams and departments.
  • Establish, implement, and audit the company ISO system and manage outside regulatory certifications.
  • Author and maintain work instructions for critical tasks; ensure effective procedures for all processes, inspections, and test methods.
  • Manage and develop a team of quality control inspectors through training, coaching, and guidance on procedures and equipment.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement; collaborate cross-functionally to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain the quality control lab, safety standards, and 5S; keep a clean and orderly work area.
  • Document procedures, inspection records, and corrective actions for full traceability.
