Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Quality Analyst at Level 2 or Level 3 to join the Propulsion Systems team in Magna, Utah. This 100% onsite role reviews production planning to ensure engineering and procedural compliance, and compiles hardware packages for客户 review.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. The Quality Analyst Level 2 or Level 3 supports and guides a team of other analysts for Propulsion Systems in reviewing Production Planning to ensure engineering, configuration and procedural requirements are met. Works with a variety of departments to resolve discrepancies facilitate corrections. Compiles reports, data, planning, certifications, and other items to compile hardware packages that will be presented to outside customers for review acceptance. Candidates must be highly organized, attentive to detail, possess strong computer and communication skills. This in an onsite position, with no work from home options. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Review completed production planning comparing the As Built to As Designed engineering and reconcile discrepancies
  • Compile As Built Data to generate reports provided to various customers
  • Following contract requirements, build final hardware packages and assist program in product sell off
  • Be a subject matter expert and point of contact for the department
  • Work with engineering, operations, configuration, quality, and other organizations as necessary to complete tasks and fulfill program requirements
  • Work on various projects as assigned to help improve process and team environment
  • Lead and support continuous improvements efforts related to Propulsion Systems Principles and Operating Practices
  • Has daily interface with team members, leaders, and customers throughout Propulsion Systems
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications for Level 2
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience or 6 years in lieu of degree
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Strong computer skills. Microsoft Suite, Outlook, etc. a must
  • Have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral & written communication skills a must and strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs
  • Able to work on task with limited supervision
  • Able to work in a team environment when required
  • Able to work overtime when required
  • Be able to lift more than 40 lbs.
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time throughout the day
Basic Qualifications for Level 3
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience or 9 years in lieu of degree
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Strong computer skills. Microsoft Suite, Outlook, etc. a must
  • Have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral & written communication skills a must and strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs
  • Able to work on task with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to individuals with a Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Prior experience in Aerospace and government programs
  • Prior experience working with government customers, DCMA, DCAA, Military Branches, Etc.
  • CMII Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Engineering Specifications, manufacturing processing, blueprints, parts lists, QMS systems
  • Prior quality and manufacturing experience
  • As Built vs. As Designed comparison experience.
  • Configuration Management experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
