Job summary

Astemo Ltd. seeks a regional quality professional to execute BRBU quality strategy across APQP and production phases in Michigan, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and lessons learned. The role involves audits, escalation management, and deployment of quality improvements across regions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive quality, knowledge of APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS, and strong problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance on new projects development, including audits during APQP phases (PG1–PG4), PPAP, Run at Rate and SOP.
• Quality Assurance in mass production phase, maintaining regional KPI dashboards and managing severe quality issues.
• Communication/Regional governance, facilitating cross‑functional communication between ROD, BU and central functions; support customer escalations.

Job description

Execute BRBU Regional Quality strategy to support successful program launches, support sites/ROD on critical quality issues.

Area of Accountabilities & Key Activities

Quality Assurance on new projects development

• Perform project quality audits during APQP phases, from customer kick-off through project gates (PG1–PG4), including PPAP, Run at Rate, and SOP.
• Support the team to follow customer quality requirements and lessons learned are applied
• Support shipment release decisions based on quality risk assessment and containment status.
• Support BU quality tasks on Change Management (CHM) activities are properly executed according to customer requirements, with risks identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Quality Assurance in mass production phase

• Maintain regional quality KPI dashboards with updated performance metrics, risk status, and action plan progress.
• Support proper escalation and management of severe quality issues.
• Support horizontal deployment of lessons learned
• Perform a gap assessment on the Gemba in regards with Astemo standards

Communication/ Regional governance

• Facilitate communication between ROD, BU and central functions
• Support customer escalations and maintain aligned between ROD and BU
