Job summary

Gestamp South Carolina seeks a qualified Quality Assurance professional to lead and coordinate the Integrated Management System across ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015. This role ensures conformance, training, document control, and continuous improvement within the GSC Operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Automotive industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems including ISO and IATF standards.
• IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5 Lead Auditor certification required.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain conformance of the GSC Integrated Management System to ISO, IATF and industry standards.
• Coordinate and update the Integrated Management System to maintain compliance and conformance.
• Train employees in support of the Integrated Management System, processes, and procedures.
• Provide document control and technical support for operations using the GSC IMS.
• Manage and sustain the database for GSC IMS documentation.
• Assist external audits involving the GSC IMS.
• Review and revise Level 1 & 2 documentation to reflect changes.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement events affecting the GSC IMS.
• Monitor quality metrics to ensure QMS effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist internal audit processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness of the GSC IMS.
• Collaborate, train and promote employee engagement in the GSC IMS.
• Assist coaching and training of team members on IMS concepts and application.
• Assist in management of the GSC Corrective and Preventive Action Program.
• Update IMS process instructions with new procedures and processes.
• Promote standardization of IMS across all facilities.

Job description

Use expertise in Automotive, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems along with ISO and IATF standards to provide coordination and support for the Gestamp South Carolina (GSC) operations. Manage, support and grow existing certified systems in compliance and certification to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and industry standards. Further develop and apply Quality Management, ISO, and IATF systems, methods, and philosophies into all aspects of the GSC IMS.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and maintaining the conformance of the GSC Integrated Management system to the applicable ISO, IATF and industry standards.
• Responsible for understanding, coordinating, and updating the GSC Integrated Management System as needed to maintain compliance and conformance.
• Responsible for ensuring employees are trained in support of the GSC Integrated Management System, its processes and procedures.
• Provide document control and technical support for all operations utilizing the GSC Integrated Management System
• Responsible for developing, managing, and sustaining the database used to store, track, and provide access to all the GSC Integrated Management System documentation.
• Provide assistance in external audits involving the GSC Integrated Management System
• Facilitate the review and revision of all GSC level 1 and level 2 documentation to reflect all organizational and standard changes.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement events that will affect the GSC Integrated Management System
• Monitor and measure quality metrics to ensure the performance of the Quality Management System is effective while identifying any opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the performance and management of the internal audit process to ensure the compliance and effectiveness of the GSC Integrated Management System, its processes and procedures.
• Consult, collaborate, train and promote employee engagement in the GSC Integrated Management System
• Assist with coaching, mentoring, and training of team members to enhance the understanding of the GSC Integrated Management System, Management System methodology, and application.
• Assist in the management of the GSC Corrective and Preventive Action Program
• Update and maintain the GSC Integrated Management System process instructions utilizing information on new and changing procedures and processes.
• Promote the standardization, as applicable of the GSC Integrated Management System, its processes and documentation, across all facilities.
• Assist the Quality Manager to ensure project goals are met and sustained through the development of an effective Quality Management System.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Automotive Industry preferred
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems including ISO and IATF Standards.
• IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5 Certified Lead Auditor - required.
