Job summary

Alltrista Plastics LLC, a Jadex Inc. subsidiary, seeks a Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality support and supervise the inspection staff in a manufacturing setting. You will ensure GMP compliance, review shifts’ data, and drive corrective actions.

You will monitor calibration, support ISO 9001 and cGMP initiatives, and train staff to maintain a safe, compliant, and continuously improving quality environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Background in ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience as a Quality Technician, a Quality Systems Technician, or a Quality Department supervisor/manager.
• Three to five years processing injection molding or related experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of quality standards and systems including Statistical Process Control.

Responsibilities

• Review reports from each shift and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Sends complete and accurate inspection and certification data to the customer and maintains Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Utilizes statistical tools to enhance the prevention-based quality system.
• Identifies and dispositionates non-conforming materials and communicates corrective actions.
• Reviews each new or existing job to ensure customer requirements are satisfied and implements corrective actions.
• Monitors calibration program and ensures test equipment is calibrated.
• Assists the quality manager with quality initiatives, policies, corrective actions and data monitoring.
• Ensures training is in place and effective for new hires in the quality department.
• Provides ongoing training to subordinates for growth and improvement.
• Provides performance reviews and recommendations for corrective actions and promotion potential.
• Maintains policy compliance to ensure safe working environment.
• Coordinates corrective action activity for continuous improvement and customer communication.
• Supports ISO 9001 and cGMP via audits, monitoring, and creative thinking.
