Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Quality Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead quality gate auditors and ensure safe, efficient production.
This role requires strong knowledge of quality management, Lean/Six Sigma familiarity, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across an assembly operation. You will partner with production management, support training, and coach staff while maintaining compliance with Caterpillar's quality standards.

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is part of Caterpillar’s Power & Energy segment. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems. LPSD products and solutions support customers across power generation, industrial, marine, oil & gas, rail, services and Cat® machine applications worldwide.

The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN has an opening for a Quality Supervisor. Caterpillar’s Quality Managers lead teams and supervise people in manufacturing sections to ensure the safe maximization of efficiency in quality, velocity, and cost. This position is a 2nd Shift position covering the Lafayette Assembly Operations team.
This position is an early talent position. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university within the last TWO years or a future graduation by Dec. 2026
Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Level Working Knowledge.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Extensive Experience.
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way. Level Working Knowledge.
Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. Level Extensive Experience.
Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products. Level Extensive Experience.
Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site. Level Extensive Experience.
$81,370.00 - $122,060.00
