Summit Polymers is seeking a Supervisor, Quality to oversee QA inspectors and QC activities across shifts at our Portage, MI facility. The role requires directing inspection procedures to ensure consistency and quality, with strong organizational and PC skills.
The position emphasizes supervising staff, training inspectors, calibrating measuring tools, and maintaining records while ensuring policy compliance and effective communication with customers and suppliers.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Quality (Manufacturing)
Summary
This is supervisory and technical work, requiring knowledge of statistical process control methods, tools, and procedures required to properly direct and supervise hourly quality assurance inspectors. Overall function of the position is to coordinate inspection procedures to assure continuity and consistency from shift to shift. Good organizational skills and the ability to use a PC are necessary.

Education And Experience
Two or more years as a production operator, material utility, or inspector.
Skills And Abilities
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
