Ipm Foods in Janesville, WI is seeking a Quality Supervisor to ensure product quality meets GMP, HACCP and regulatory standards. You will lead quality technicians on the production floor and in documentation.

The role requires 4+ years in a manufacturing quality role, pet food experience, and strong problem-solving skills. You will work closely with other departments to prevent issues and drive improvements.

Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company’s policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products. She/he maintains close working relationships with other department managers and supervisory personnel in order to meet and maintain product quality, identify, solve and prevent problems affecting product quality, maximize productivity, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct quality technicians/auditors who enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and quality-related policies.
• Review Production Batch Records and manufacturing documents to verify compliance and record keeping.
• Audit raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products against specifications and regulatory standards.
• Follow up on GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, Sanitation, Pest Control, Calibration, and Organic Certification programs.
• Oversee the "On Hold" product program, including the release and destruction of "Rejected" products.
• Investigate and correct quality-related issues, including customer complaints, with other departments.
• Participate in regulatory, third party, and customer audits and inspections, and corrective action response.

Work is performed in an extremely fast paced pet food manufacturing environment, with time split between the production floor and quality documentation. Overtime work is required to meet deadlines, and strict adherence to all GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have pet food experience.
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience in a quality department.
• Good knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety.
• Understanding of analytical, microbiological, and sensory quality testing, and basic math.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and make effective decisions.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail; strong team player and leader.
• HACCP certification, Allergen Control training, Food Recall training, and 21CFR Part 111 training certification.
