Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead incoming inspections, product line patrols, and outgoing QC within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will develop and maintain quality standards, analyze data, and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and internal quality rules.

Qualifications

QUALITY SR. ENGINEER

Description

The Quality Sr. Engineer is responsible for incoming inspections, product line patrol, outgoing quality control, and updating factory internal quality rules, all in accordance with high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct inspections and quality tests on products throughout the production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Analyze production processes and product designs to identify and address quality issues.
• Develop and maintain quality standards and procedures to uphold consistent product quality.
• Collect and analyze quality-related data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in the design and implementation of quality control processes and systems.
• Provide training and support to quality & production staff to ensure understanding and compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to quality procedures and regulations.
• Manage raw materials’ quality to ensure consistency and integrity.
• Regularly monitor and review data based on suppliers’ reports, yield, and each process quality.
• Plan, conduct, and monitor tests and inspections on materials and products to ensure the quality of finished products.
• Maintain, test, and troubleshoot quality instrumentation devices.
• Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
• Accurately record data and production information.
• Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Qcells.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience.
• Excellent logic and analytical abilities.
• Strong organization aptitude and attention to detail.
• A solid understanding of quality in the manufacturer.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate-controlled.
• Able to cope with pressure, self-motivated, and driven team player.
• Proactive approach toward various issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Korean bilingual preferred.
• Analytical skills and knowledge of quality.
• Completion of training on ISO9001 quality management system
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineering
• Relevant experience within an industrial engineering environment (semiconductor, solar, etc.)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
