Job summary

Elbit America in the United States is seeking a Quality Specialist I to support the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and perform QA activities. This role contributes to product and process verification, warranty coordination, supplier oversight, and compliance with quality policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of quality-related experience or strong aptitude for learning ISO/AS9100 systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PDFs, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the QMS across the organization.
  • Support audits for AS9100, AS9110, FAA-145, EMAR-145 and other requirements.
  • Aid product and process verification, warranty coordination, and supplier oversight.
  • Coordinate Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) and MRB activities.
  • Assist with 5S, FOD, and ESD program audits.

The Quality Specialist I helps ensure adherence to established quality policies, standards, procedures, and work instructions.



Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System Support


  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS across the organization.

  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits for AS9100, AS9110, FAA‑145, EMAR‑145, and other compliance requirements.
    Participate in 5S, FOD, and ESD program audits.



Product & Process Assurance


  • Support receiving, in‑process, and final product inspections as needed, verifications, and process validations.

  • Validate and verify new repair processes and new capabilities prior to release for production use.

  • Support the Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) process and coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities with functional leads.



Warranty & Customer Interaction


  • Support warranty analysis and processing by coordinating with operations, shipping/receiving, contracts, and external customers including DCMA, government representatives, and commercial partners.



Supplier Quality & New Product Introduction


  • Participate in supplier First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews and support production FAIs as required.

  • Assist with supplier performance analysis, identifying trends in quality and delivery, and engaging suppliers and Supplier Quality as needed.

  • Support new product introduction activities by ensuring required quality reviews and documentation are completed.



Additional Responsibilities


  • Provide general support to QA functions and internal quality initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by functional management.



Education, Experience, and Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.

  • 0-2 years of experience in a quality-related role preferred; entry‑level candidates with strong aptitude and desire to learn quality systems (ISO9001/AS9100) will be considered.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow detailed, multipart instructions.
    Able to break down broader objectives into manageable tasks and deliver on commitments.

  • Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    Proficient with computer applications including Word, PDF Writer, Excel, and PowerPoint.
