Job summary

Engineered Profiles LLC in Columbus, OH seeks a Quality Specialist to support post-extrusion QA, inspect finished goods, and monitor critical profiles. The role includes shift work with potential 12-hour rotations after initial period, plus opportunities for benefits and retirement plans.

Responsibilities include auditing, coordinating with Quality and Operations, and training staff on gauges and procedures. A strong attention to detail and basic metrology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read simple prints and measure with calipers and micrometers.
• Basic computer skills: email and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post extrusion audits and disposition materials.
• Monitor profiles based on outflow risk (QA Hotlist).
• Support equipment functionality and troubleshooting (Bytewise, Keyence, gauges).
• Communicate with Quality Department & Operations regarding jobs running and priority.
• Assist in tracking trends or quality issues.
• Communicate compromised runs to the Process, Production, and Quality Departments.
• Assist in training floor associates on procedures and quality gauges/tools.
• Assist Production to manage hold areas.
• Understand and support containment activities.
• Flexibility to support off shifts / weekends as needed.

Salary Range: $16.97 To $22.05 Annually

Reports to: Senior Quality Engineer

Employment Status: Hourly $16.97 - $22.05/ hr (Night Shift gets a 10% shift differential)

Shift:

• 1st Shift 7am-2:30pm
• 2nd Shift 2pm-10:30pm
• 3rd Shift 10pm- 6:30am

This position will eventually move into a 12-hour 2/2/3 shift after approximately 2-3 months.

• Day shift 5:50am-6pm
• Night shift 5:50pm-6am

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Relevant Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Required skills: part print reading, detail-oriented, use of calipers and micrometers
• Internal candidates must have no attendance or discipline issues in the past year
• Must exhibit a positive and engaging attitude with associates, management, and other departments
• Computer skills needed: email and basic level Excel
• Basic knowledge of statistics and geometry

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Understand written and verbal instruction and communicate the same.
• Learn and retain information on products, operating procedures, quality requirements, set-ups, etc.
• Work well in a team setting.
• Able to lift loads up 50 pounds frequently and assist coworkers with heavier loads.
• Able to work on your feet for a 8+ hour shift.
