NSK Corporation in Franklin, Indiana seeks a Setup for the Quality Department to lead defect investigations, auditing, data collection and analysis, and shop-floor support. The role involves performing quality checks with gauges and measurement devices, conducting shop-floor audits, and training as needed.

The candidate will work directly with Shift supervisors and engineers to manage quality activities on the shop floor, maintain metrology equipment, and support IATF audits.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must not have an absenteeism rate > 3% and not be in any current step of disciplinary action.
• Must be able to work and cooperate fully with the production department leaders and team members when investigating an abnormal product.
• Team member is responsible for 5S in designated work area(s).
• Must be able to work under limited supervision.
• Participate in all necessary visitor activities to include presentations, cleaning, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Abnormal Product Control system investigations, inspections, and containment of defects discovered on the shop floor and/or reported.
• Work directly with Shift supervisors, Technical support, and Engineers to manage all Quality activities on the shop floor.
• Understand traceability system, shop floor processes, abnormal product control system procedures, and gauging techniques.
• Complete all change-over qualifications.
• Assist with sorting including setting up gauges, training on sort method, and supervising when necessary.
• Provide support to new projects requiring data collection (line qualifications, PPAPs).
• Help keep prompt reports organized, maintained, and logged.
• Maintain metrology equipment in the Quality Lab including gauges and SOPs.
• Assist with internal and external IATF audits as needed.
