Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Quality & Safety Specialist to join our large fabrication branch. The role focuses on developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving quality and safety programs to ensure ISO, regulatory, and corporate compliance.

You will collaborate with branch and district leadership and the Health & Safety Director to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant safety and quality experience in manufacturing or fabrication preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001 preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve quality and safety programs with leadership to ensure adherence to global rules and guidelines.
• Train, mentor, and coach associates on quality standards and safe behaviors.
• Maintain QMS documents and ensure management review is followed.
• Implement and track quality and safety compliance training and certifications.
• Prepare and communicate quality and safety analytics/reporting as needed.
• Coordinate and co-chair the Local Safety Committee.
• Conduct safety observations and monthly safety walks to identify unsafe conditions.
• Assist investigations and manage injuries/incidents with timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Ensure environmental and HazMat requirements are followed.
