Job summary

Berkeley Medical Center, part of WVU Health System, seeks an experienced RN for a Quality Improvement role to coordinate patient safety activities and lead performance initiatives.

The role requires an active RN license, 5+ years of acute care experience, and familiarity with data extraction for Core Measures. Travel between facilities may be required; 40-hour week; non-exempt status.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of service or multi-state license via eNLC.
  • Data analysis experience in Quality/Patient Safety or Risk Management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and performance measures is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality improvement, quality assurance, and patient safety activities to улучшe patient care.
  • Perform concurrent and retrospective quality reviews using electronic and paper medical records.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report data to departments and hospital committees.
  • Lead quality reviews and performance initiatives, maintain competency with Premier Quality software.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve data extraction and documentation for Core Measures.
  • Create reports for Performance Improvement Committee and other assigned committees.
  • Investigate patient/family complaints and provide timely feedback.
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis and Joint Commission activities as needed.
  • Ensure accurate charging of supplies and medications.

Assists with PI at CHI by facilitating Root cause analysis.9. Assists with Joint Commission activities as necessary.10. Assists with policy revision/development as necessary.11.
