Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Quality & Reliability Engineer for AI enabling Power Modules in the United States. This full-time role focuses on reliability test programs, qualification of power modules and components, and collaboration with mechanical, software, and systems teams to ensure proper integration and performance.

The ideal candidate has an MSEE or BSEE with 10+ years in high-volume electronics, experience qualifying power modules and semiconductors, and strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Experience in PCBA processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability and qualification test programs for AI Server Power Modules.
• Create selection and qualification processes for passive and active components.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and systems engineering) to ensure seamless integration of power modules and drive alignment on thermal, power, and reliability requirements.
• Develop quality & reliability test plans, test documentation and validation tests.
• Work with internal and external manufacturing partners to prototype designs and bring them to manufacturing.

Renesas is seeking quality & reliability engineer for its AI High Density Power Modules product families. These products push the technology limits of speed, density, and efficiency and deliver power to the highest performance computing and connectivity functions. Typical applications include Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Networking, and other High Performance Computing applications. This role sits within our Performance Computing Power business, which is one of the fastest-growing and exciting product lines at Renesas, with a multi-market scope and a large product development team.

Responsibility

MSEE /BSEE with 10+ years of experience in the mechanical design and development of high-volume electronics products.

• Demonstrated success qualifying power modules and power semiconductors.
• Experience in power modules is a plus.
• Experience in PCBA process is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
