Job summary

DSJ Global seeks a Director of Product Quality to drive exceptional product quality from concept to end of life. Qualifications

• Proven leadership in Product Quality, Design Quality, or Operations Quality within manufacturing or technology.
• Experience operating as a P&L owner, General Manager, or senior operational leader is a strong plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of DFMEA, DOE, quality tools, and DFX methodologies.
• Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ASQ CMQ preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce disciplined product quality and engineering processes across all development phases.
• Ensure rigorous application of DFX principles, including DFMEA, manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost during NPI.
• Partner with engineering to drive design robustness, yield readiness, and production scalability.
• Own closed-loop quality systems leveraging field failure, warranty, and repair data.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions across design, manufacturing, and service.
• Improve product reliability, customer experience, and total cost of ownership.
• Define and manage qualification, certification, audit, and performance expectations for suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Establish quality metrics, scorecards, and continuous improvement plans to reduce risk and improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to QMS, regulatory, and industry standards; maintain audit readiness.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven continuous improvement across product quality and operations teams.

Design Quality & New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Lead and enforce disciplined product quality and engineering processes across all development phases.

Qualifications

Experience

• Proven leadership experience in Product Quality, Design Quality, or Operations Quality within a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Experience operating as a P&L owner, General Manager, or senior operational leader a strong plus.

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands‑on knowledge of DFMEA, DOE, quality tools, and DFX methodologies.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier quality, and reliability engineering.
• Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ASQ Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ) preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.

Leadership & Communication

• Demonstrated ability to define quality strategy and influence cross‑functional organizations.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into business impact for senior leadership.
