Job summary

OnePay Global LLC is seeking a Quality Platform Engineer to shape how engineering teams ship by building shared automation frameworks and scalable test infra.

You will partner with teams to improve coverage, implement fast feedback loops, and define quality standards across the platform stack, including web, mobile, and backend services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend/backend/platform engineering with a strong testing focus.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, with experience architecting test frameworks rather than just writing test cases.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS) and containerized test environments.
• Familiarity with testing across the stack: API/integration testing and end-to-end testing for web and mobile (React Native).

Responsibilities

• Design and own shared automation frameworks used by engineering teams across web, mobile, and backend services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure that runs automated suites reliably at scale, including flaky-test detection and triage tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams to raise coverage and testing maturity, embedding quality practices into the development workflow.

The Role

As a Quality Platform Engineer at OnePay, your work will directly shape how confidently every engineering team ships to production, building the internal tooling that catches problems before they reach customers of a financial platform millions of people trust. You will:

• Design and own shared automation frameworks used by engineering teams across web, mobile, and backend services
• Build and maintain infrastructure that runs automated suites reliably at scale, including flaky-test detection and triage tooling
• Partner with engineering teams to raise coverage and testing maturity, embedding quality practices into the development workflow rather than bolting them on afterward
• Develop platform for test environment provisioning, data management, and parallelized execution to keep feedback loops fast
• Define quality standards, provide observability (coverage, pass rates, run times), and maintain documentation and best practices to help engineers write and maintain effective automated tests

You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend/backend/platform engineering with a strong testing focus
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or similar languages, with experience architecting test frameworks rather than just writing test cases
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS) and containerized test environments
• Familiarity with testing across the stack: API/integration testing, end-to-end testing for web and mobile (e.g., React Native)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to influence testing practices across multiple engineering teams
• Drive and proactivity - everyone here is a builder and executor

Tools We Use

We use Typescript front to back, with node and NestJS frameworks for server code and React Native for our iOS, Android, and Web clients. We run on a highly distributed cloud-native stack with Kubernetes and AWS, and scale and resiliency are at the heart of everything we build. We also embrace agentic development, so engineers have their choice of a variety of models and agent harnesses, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and more to fit their workflow. While you don't need experience with our exact stack, familiarity with modern software engineering practices will help you ramp up quickly.
