Job summary

Presbyterian Espanola Hospital in Espanola, NM is seeking a Manager, Quality Program to lead quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness efforts, and patient safety programs that support exceptional clinical outcomes and operational excellence.

The role partners with physicians, nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to foster continuous improvement, data-driven decision making and compliance, while overseeing infection control, employee health, case management and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related clinical field; health care experience acceptable; master's preferred.
• Licensed RN preferred.
• 3-5 years in health care quality required.
• Clinical quality data and measurement; interdisciplinary support and performance improvement preferred.
• Prior leadership experience preferred.
• CPPS, CPHQ or other quality certification preferred.
• Skills: analytic, customer service, MS Office, negotiation, presentation, reporting, verbal communication, professionalism, written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and support the facility QAPI program to meet regulatory requirements, including infection control, clinical quality, and business indicators; report data to committees.
• Provide clinically pertinent perspectives in developing clinical information and measurement processes; participate in performance measurement reporting.
• Manage regulatory and accreditation prep; serve as lead during surveys with the Regional Director.
• Lead quality plans, clinical improvement, and safety initiatives; set objectives for clinical quality and patient safety.
• Be a resource on quality theory, indicators, and regulatory readiness.
• Lead and support clinical quality and patient safety initiatives; participate in task forces and work groups.
• Conduct risk analysis using established techniques.
• Conduct RCIs/PSIs or special investigations.
• Prepare and maintain short- and long-range quality and patient safety plans.
• Manage and direct a team; orient/retain staff; address opportunities to meet goals.
• Drive department budgeting and monitor variances to meet targets.
