Job summary

American Drillpipe LLC in Chickasha, Oklahoma is building a hands-on materials laboratory from the ground up. This leadership role owns the technical operation, from commissioning equipment to establishing testing methods and creating in-house capabilities.

You will lead the in-house NDE program, coordinate with ASNT Level III, and drive acceptance decisions under the quality system as production scales. This is a startup-like environment with broad scope, requiring practical, hands-on

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical or materials testing (tensile, Charpy, hardness).
• Experience with magnetic particle and ultrasonic examination of pipe/tubular products.
• Ability to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain lab or inspection equipment.
• Ability to write procedures from test methods and product specs.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the laboratory, define scope, and procure/commission equipment.
• Run the in-line MT/UT NDE program and oversee ASNT Level III oversight.
• Write controlled procedures and establish workflows, calibration, and traceability.
• Own acceptance and lead the team; recruit/train technicians and integrate controls.
