Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Nurse III for the Quality Monitor Nurse role in Denton, TX. The QMN conducts quality monitoring visits to Medicaid-certified facilities, prepares detailed reports, and collaborates with facility staff to improve care quality.

The position requires an active Texas RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience, and the ability to travel up to 80% across the state.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care Nursing Facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QM and RRT visits and document detailed narratives.
• Provide in-service education and training to facility staff on EBPP practices.
• Coordinate Rapid Response Team activities and assist facilities with improvement plans.
• Prepare complex narrative reports and communicate findings to facility leadership.
