Job summary

New Pig is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee supplier quality, internal production quality systems, and new product documentation. The role requires collaboration with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production Management to ensure materials and products meet specifications.

You will lead a team of Quality Technicians, manage investigations, containment of non-conforming goods, and participation in ISO9001 conformance initiatives across Tipton, Duncansville, and Altoona

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
• Strong knowledge of science, physics and mathematics.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma; Green Belt or higher a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the existing base of raw material and contracted suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications.
• Maintain a database of supplier specifications and ensure supplier capability.
• Lead supplier quality issues via investigation, data analysis and root-cause problem solving.
• Drive supplier improvement and scrap reduction to reduce costs.
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action Process and documentation.
• Oversee incoming inspection and data collection of raw goods.
