Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp is seeking a Quality Manager - Aerospace in the United States to lead the quality management system, drive continuous improvement, and oversee the QA department. The role emphasizes implementing processes to ensure the highest quality standards for aerospace components and collaborating with customers and audits.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years of QA leadership experience, preferably in aerospace, with Six Sigma Black

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role; aerospace experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Six Sigma certifications are strongly preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate at all levels; working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/Nadcap and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain quality management processes to meet standards and minimize defects.
• Report performance of the QMS and identify opportunities for improvement to top management.
• Ensure customer focus and regulatory/compliance adherence across the organization.
• Lead and coordinate quality programs; provide leadership to the Quality Assurance department.
• Work with customers and audits to address quality issues as required.

Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization achieve the highest quality standards possible and minimize product defects. This role is also integrates all quality connected functions into a Quality System, designed to assist manufacturing operations in providing quality products that fulfill customer needs at a minimum cost. The Manager of Qualtiy Assurance also develops, communicates and coordinates the execution of all Company quality programs along with providing leadership to the Quality Assurance department.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs
• Report on the performance of the quality management system and opportunities for improvement to top management
• Promote the organization to be customer focused
• Ensure that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented
• Develop and manage implementation of all policies, procedures and practices to ensure organizational compliance with all internal and external (customer and government) quality requirements and specifications
• Responsible for ensuring that the organization is aware of and conforms to AS 9100, ISO, Nadcap, and customer requirements
• Ensure that appropriate employees obtain the required training and certification in all applicable quality assurance programs
• Work directly with key customers when quality issues arise and as audits or certifications are required
• Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department
• Report the performance of the quality management system, including any need for improvement, to the Executive team
• Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Ability to work at the CPP Syracuse Facility

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required
• Experience: 8+ years previous experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role required for this position, previous aerospace experience strongly preferred
• Certifications/Licenses: Six Sigma Black belt, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred
• Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization & with outside customers, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations, working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/Nadcap and customer requirements
