• Organize and report on special projects and trials.
• Develop and improve laboratory procedures and product/process specifications.
• Lead quality improvement projects and safety compliance.

PABCO Roofing Products is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and laboratory operations at our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, production processes, and finished products while managing laboratory personnel and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager serves as a key resource for operations, customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee production quality systems and process controls.
• Manage, coach, train, and develop laboratory personnel.
• Generates quality reports for senior managements review.
• Manage lab equipment purchases, maintenance agreements, and calibration systems. Maintaining proper documentation to support outside audit bodies.
• Work with outside audit bodies to achieve/maintain necessary compliance.
• Responsible for creating and refining test methos and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
• Analyze process and laboratory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Investigate and resolve process issues impacting product quality.
• Evaluate products against specifications and determine appropriate disposition of materials.
• Provide technical support to customers and the Sales team.
• Evaluate incoming raw materials for suitability in production.
• Work with suppliers to address quality concerns and qualify new vendors.
• Respond to customer complaints and lead root cause investigations.
• Organize, oversee, conduct, and report on special projects: trials, competitor audits, conformance testing, etc.
• Develop, maintain, and improve laboratory procedures and product/process specifications.
• Lead quality improvement projects and other special assignments.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or related experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Previous leadership experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of quality systems, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze scientific, technical, operational, and financial information.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software.
• Experience in roofing, building materials, or other manufacturing environments.
• Experience tracking, identifying, and implementing applicable code compliance requirements with a strong background in applied basic and advanced statistics is preferred.
• Background in laboratory management and process quality control.

Pay Range

$100,000 to $120,000 per year
