Job summary

Woodward in Rockford, IL seeks an Internal Quality Manager to lead deployment and continuous improvement of the QMS across Fuel Systems & Controls operations. You will drive compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while raising product quality and operational excellence.

You will manage quality teams, enforce standards, conduct performance evaluations, and push process improvements to optimize quality control throughout the department.

Estimated annual base pay: $108,000 (minimum) - $140,000 (midpoint) - $173,000 (maximum)

Summary:

The Internal Quality Manager is responsible for leading the deployment, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across Fuel Systems & Controls operations. This position provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while driving product quality, process capability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Quality Teams: Oversees and directs quality assurance teams to achieve established quality objectives.
• Implement Quality Standards: Develops and enforces quality standards and procedures across all operational processes.
• Conduct Performance Evaluations: Performs regular performance appraisals, provides feedback, and facilitates training and development for team members.
• Resolve Quality Issues: Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates technical and operational quality problems to maintain operational excellence.
• Drive Process Improvements: Creates and implements strategies to enhance quality control processes and promote continuous improvement within the department.
